The Stockroom Utility Operator is responsible for maintaining an organized and efficient stockroom, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
  • Organize and store materials in designated areas, ensuring proper labeling and inventory control.
  • Prepare and distribute materials and supplies to various departments as requested.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and safe stockroom environment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
  • Assist with stockroom audits and inventory management tasks.
  • Collaborate with other team members to improve stockroom processes and efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a stockroom or warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification is a plus).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime if necessary.
