Job Summary:

The Communications Representative plays a crucial role in promoting and protecting the brand image of the company through clear, effective communication strategies. This position is responsible for developing content, managing media relations, and supporting internal and external communication efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong writing, editing, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to craft compelling messages for various audiences across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Media Relations:

    • Act as the point of contact for media inquiries and cultivate relationships with key journalists and media outlets.
    • Pitch story ideas and secure media coverage to highlight company initiatives, products, and achievements.
    • Monitor media coverage and report on communications performance metrics.

  2. Internal Communications:

    • Develop internal newsletters, memos, and announcements to ensure employees are informed and engaged with company developments.
    • Support HR and leadership in creating communication plans for employee engagement, including events, updates, and crisis management.

  3. Social Media & Digital Communications:

    • Manage company social media accounts, ensuring consistent brand messaging and tone.
    • Track and analyze social media engagement, adjusting strategies to improve visibility and interaction.
    • Stay updated on trends in digital communications and identify opportunities for innovation.

  4. Event Support:

    • Assist with organizing and promoting company events, press conferences, and webinars.
    • Coordinate media attendance and press coverage for events.

  5. Crisis Communication:

    • Assist in the development of communication plans for crisis situations and ensure prompt, effective communication during crises.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and content management systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
