What you'll do: The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for a broad range of administrative and payroll-based functional support for the Company. The primary responsibility will be the accurate, efficient, and effective full-cycle processing of payroll for the organization. A successful employee in this role has prior experience processing payroll, preferably for multiple states (including California) and Canada. This employee is efficient in their use of HR systems, including ADP Workforce Now. They will also assist minimally with other HR or accounting administrative tasks that support payroll success and execution. This role is a member of Saxco’s HR team and will participate in team meetings and trainings, as needed.

Specific Functions and Responsibilities (but not limited to any of these as required):

• Process payroll for the organization, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of pay

• Resolving issues employees have with timesheets and other payroll matters

• Sending reminders for timecard entry and approvals to leaders per pay period

• Changing and verifying employee bank records when necessary to process payments accurately

• Enter pay rate changes in ADP as necessary

• Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions; prepare and provide on-going monthly payroll reports for leadership

• Resolution of tax issues, including new State tax jurisdiction setup

• Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors

• Handles HR-related documentation and administration, pertaining to benefits and benefits changes, 401k and 401k related audit responsibilities, life insurance, flexible spending account, supplemental insurance, and others as necessary

• Assists with processing of terminations, as necessary to facilitate the payroll

• Maintain accurate record of Canada PTO amounts and requests

• Act as point of contact on payroll questions for employees.

Office Administrative duties as needed, including mail distribution, ordering supplies, calendar bookings.

• Participation in HR team meetings and performs projects as assigned by the VP of HR or HR Business Partners
