Job Summary
This is both a strategic role as well as one where responsibilities include direct execution of initiatives/tasks. This role is responsible for delivering on the technological aspects of NPCA. This position is responsible for compiling information to improve efficiencies, metric development and monitoring so that we can have positive impacts across the organization and for our members.
This role also provides support for equipment, development of member management software, migration to the cloud, and finding the right solutions in determining what we can do internally and what will be required outside.
This role leads through the unexpected and finds creative solutions that work inside the budget as set by the Board of Directors.
Note: this position does not have any direct reports.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing options for outside resource(s)/vendor(s) used for IT projects.
- Coordination of outside resources/vendors used for IT projects.
- Project manage all IT initiatives.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy tailored to the company's business objectives, scalability and operational efficiency.
- Create and manage the technology budget, optimize resource allocation and ensuring cost-effective solutions.
- Oversee the design and implementation of robust technical architectures, ensuring alignment with business requirements, security standards and industry’s best practices.
- Establish and maintain efficient and reliable technology operations, including systems infrastructure, network, data management and security protocols for high performance, uptime and data integrity.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies.
- Identify and mitigate technology-related risks, ensuring data privacy and security regulations compliance. Stay aware of the latest tech advancements to provide strategic insights and recommendations for maintaining our technological edge.

Additional Education/Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
- An associate’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience developing and deploying new platforms, processes, and tools to support innovative technology solutions for an organization.
- Demonstrated success in IT infrastructure, IT budgets, software development and systems architecture.
- Deep understanding of technology trends, best practices.
- Working knowledge of software development methodologies, infrastructure management, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience driving digital transformation initiatives, leveraging cloud technologies, and implementing data-driven decision-making.
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate business objectives into effective technology strategies.
- Proven track record of successfully leading technology projects, delivering results on time and within budget.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights for informed decision-making. This position is a full-time and in-office position located in Carmel, Indiana.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field or equivalent work experience.

- Proficient in risk mitigation and data security of digital assets.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks.
