Bank-Fund Staff Federal Credit Union (BFSFCU) is a full-service financial cooperative that was organized and chartered in 1947 as a convenient place for employees of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund and their families to save and to obtain credit. Located in Washington, DC, BFSFCU maintains three full-service branches in downtown as well as a full-service Lending Center near Farragut West and Farragut North metro stations.

The Staff Development Trainer will identify, develop, maintain and provide the training programs and materials for all incoming and reassigned staff at BFSFCU, as well as develop, coordinate, organize and deliver training for New Employee Orientation.

  • Train all incoming and re-assigned staff in all aspects of their position. Assist in the design, development, maintenance and implementation of new and existing training programs for a variety of delivery modalities (eLearning, instructor-led, virtual classroom, etc.).
  • Conduct New Employee Orientation including the development and coordination of all aspects of the onboarding program.
  • Acquire, develop and maintain the required knowledge, techniques, and skills required by all the Member Relations, Lending, and Payments positions, including a thorough knowledge of Service PACT goals, operations, products, services, unique systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with BFSFCU staff, outside vendors and other resources to facilitate the development and maintenance of current training programs and systems.
  • Monitor and evaluate staff progress and competency levels on an ongoing basis to measure levels of staff knowledge and effectiveness of training programs. Update and amend programs for optimal results.
  • Identify training and development needs by analyzing job requirements, operational problems, and member satisfaction levels. Implement retraining of employees in areas where needed on an individual/group basis.
  • Present training and development programs by identifying learning objectives and selecting instructional methodologies.
  • In coordination with management and other assigned staff, develop and a thorough understanding of all policies and programs; accurately update procedural manuals, guides and/or job aids and determine the appropriate delivery method for communicating to the staff.
  • Contribute to the team effort by developing a thorough understanding of the Service IMPACT philosophy and the departmental objectives while continually utilizing them in all internal and external interactions.
  • Prepares new sales staff by conducting orientation to the sales process; providing resources and assistance; participate with management on establishing best practices for all sales roles.
  • Maintain and develop the skills and knowledge needed for training by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing a professional network of contacts and participating in professional societies.
  • Assist in maintaining the corporate Learning Management System by updating training records, registering staff for training, updating staff profiles, and producing training progress reports.
Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications or Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience


Experience:

· Experience writing and developing materials

· Proven project management skills

· Experience or knowledge of adult learning styles and effective training techniques


Professional Qualifications:

· Microsoft Office skills including (Word, Excel, Power Point)

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Competency in multiple project oriented environment

· Ability to work independently and prioritize own work to meet tight deadlines


For internal purposes, this position is graded as NE - 10

The anticipated annualized base salary range for this position is $75,000 to $94,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s job-related experience, skillset, training, certifications and market demands. The benefits available for this full-time position include but are not limited to: medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and paid time off, including paid parental leave benefits. In addition to base compensation salary, this role position is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
