Responsibilities:

The Accounting Coordinator reports to the Controller and is responsible for various accounting related duties.  Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Aids Shared Service Center by problem-solving for missing information on vendor invoices
  • Facilitates processing of rush payment requests
  • Preparation of monthly corporate credit card packages, including purchase orders and receipts to match statements
  • Prior to monthly close, verifies that all payables have been processed.
  • Aids in preparation of monthly accruals for outstanding purchase orders and other unprocessed invoices
  • Follows-up and resolves vendor inquiries and issues (regarding payments and invoices) in a timely manner.
  • Provides assistance to agency personnel with purchase order creation as needed
  • Facilitates new vendor setup process
  • Special projects as needed.


Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Associate’s degree with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, or other related field is preferred.
  • Must be very organized, efficient, and able to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Must have proven analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Must display a consistent team attitude, a willingness to help others, and a strong desire to learn the accounting and finance function in the Agency environment.
