Fitness Center Director

Overview:
Frost Tower in downtown Fort Worth is seeking a Fitness Center Director to oversee the on-site, tenant-only, fitness center.  We are the city’s newest high-rise office building, that includes a banking center, restaurant, meeting and event center, and fitness center.   Frost Tower is partnering with building tenant, Jetta Operating Company, Inc., to fill this position. 

Position Summary:
The Fitness Center Director is responsible for improving the health and wellness of Frost Tower Fort Worth tenants. Oversees all operations and activities within and related to the fitness center, including teaching most fitness classes.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Manages physical property, amenities, schedules, and programs.
  • Designs exercise classes to promote fun and health.  
  • Teaches and conducts most fitness classes.
  • Facilitates specialty classes, coordinating and communicating with fitness instructors.
  • Monitors class attendance to ensure minimum attendee threshold is met and adjusts schedule and offerings as needed.
  • Maintains positive member relations.
  • Manages maintenance of equipment and supplies.
  • Oversees contracted cleaning service to ensure facilities remain clean and tidy; performs cleaning and laundering activities to supplement cleaning service and as needed.
  • Responsible for all members and memberships including monthly accounting of memberships.
  • Writes a monthly health and wellness newsletter (“Boost”), distributed to all tenants.
  • Manages a variety of projects involving health and fitness for Frost Tower.
  • In charge of all daily duties for FIT & FIT-X, in addition to providing a clean and fun environment for all Frost Tower tenants.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to encourage growth and challenge that is appropriate to the members’ ability and fitness level

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in using software tools for managing memberships and processing payments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Education and Experience:
  • 5-10 years’ experience in group fitness
  • 3-5 years’ management experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as class instructor
  • Yoga Certification
  • Spin Certification
  • Pilates Certification
  • Group Fitness Certification
  • CPR/AED Certification
