  • Recruit and onboard dynamic, passionate, and knowledgeable instructors to facilitate a diverse range of classes.
  • Conduct regular performance assessments and class evaluations of instructors to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Encourage ongoing professional development by informing staff about local educational opportunities and promoting group participation.
  • Represent Exos at fitness conferences and trade shows to enhance networking and recruitment efforts.
  • Organize certification and continuing education workshops to foster professional growth among staff and expand the network of local instructors.
  • Provide specialized training sessions for staff, such as 'choreography forums,' to enhance teamwork and skill sharing.
  • Mentor staff and members interested in teaching group exercise, preparing them for certification.
  • Secure master classes with renowned instructors and promote additional fee-based group exercise programs to boost revenue.
  • Establish a successful fee-based Pilates Reformer program, including instructor recruitment and scheduling.
  • Assist in the creation and dissemination of marketing materials related to all Group Exercise and Pilates offerings.
  • Monitor class attendance and report monthly statistics to the General Manager.
  • Act as the representative of the Group Exercise program by maintaining consistent communication with members, soliciting feedback, and responding to inquiries promptly.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in leading successful group exercise classes.
  • A minimum of two years in a management role.
  • Current nationally recognized group exercise certification (e.g., AFAA, ACE, ACSM, NETA).
  • Current CPR/AED certification.
  • Instructors teaching licensed formats (e.g., Zumba) must hold the necessary training and licenses.
  • Current First Aid certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to modify exercise programs for high-risk clients, along with a solid understanding of safe versus contraindicated exercises.
  • Outgoing personality with exceptional communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer service abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
