Location: Dahlgren, VAJob Description:
  • Write and edit workforce communications on HR topics,
  • Export reports and disseminate workforce information using a variety of web-based tools (e.g. SharePoint Online), HR systems and databases and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Provide customer assistance in areas by coordinating HR events, answering questions, appropriately referring employees for more detailed assistance, directing customers to employee benefit websites and/or telephone help desks and other related websites.
  • Support the NSWCDD Awards Program by updating award nomination forms and other award documents; communicating with external award sponsors; reviewing and updating awards spreadsheets; and processing awards for distribution.
Qualifications:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and will be required to obtain a DOD SECRET Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field.
  • Three (3) years of experience providing support to a technical writer/editor, with the ability to communicate orally and in writing to personnel at all levels.
  • Must have ability to ensure technical documents meet unique program requirements and ability to edit documents to best communicate importance.
