Position Overview:

The Program Analyst role at Bowhead involves providing critical support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), E Department. This position focuses on the analysis of intricate technical support tasks and assists in procurement and financial project evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of research and development programs, including in-service support and occasional procurement of materials.
  • Conduct life cycle cost analyses for the Air Burst Munitions (ABM) 30mm initiative.
  • Apply program management principles to enhance cost efficiency, scheduling, and technical performance.
  • Perform technical assessments of documentation to support various project milestones and reviews.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, ideally in a business or technical field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in project or program support, focusing on the evaluation of program effectiveness in achieving set objectives.
  • Familiarity with Gun Weapon Systems and/or Navy-related programs is advantageous.
  • Experience in developing and testing solutions for technical challenges in research, manufacturing, inspection, and maintenance, along with assisting engineers in product evaluation and data collection.
  • Proficient in analytical techniques, systems specifications, and data gathering methodologies.
  • Strong skills in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities and sound judgment, capable of working independently or collaboratively.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift weights ranging from 15 to 25 pounds.
  • Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to twist, bend, and squat as needed.

Security Clearance:
Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level, with U.S. Citizenship required for clearance at this position.
