Summary of Position:

The National Apartment Association (NAA) is seeking a talented and motivated Digital Experience Specialist to join our Digital Experience Team (DET) within NAA’s Communications Team. As the Digital Experience Specialist, you will play a critical role in enhancing our digital presence and effectively engaging our members, stakeholders, and the broader multifamily housing community.

The Digital Experience Specialist will be responsible for assisting with optimizing the user experience on our website, naahq.org, for all NAA target audiences. This role will report to the Director of Digital Experience & Analytics. This position requires strong writing skills, attention to detail, the ability to excel in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment, and significant collaboration with a variety of stakeholders within and outside of NAA.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Support the Digital Experience Team in facilitating project coordination, documentation, and communication with NAA staff and vendors to ensure deliverables are produced successfully.
  • Partner with the Website Production Manager to maintain the Drupal CMS for NAA’s main website.
  • Review and approve website pages submitted by other NAA staff to ensure content creation teams and owners follow NAA’s Digital Guidelines.
  • Help the Website Production Manager with troubleshooting issues for stakeholders on the website.
  • Assist with oversight and execution of select digital platform related projects and initiatives.
  • Participate in department/cross-department meetings.
  • Help to ensure NAA’s digital and print materials meet current accessibility standards.
  • Consult with other departments and Digital Experience Team on the audience-first perspective.
  • Assist the Digital Experience Team in analyzing platform success and user experience through data collection and reporting.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, digital media, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in collaborating on projects, digital communications, and overseeing websites.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with an ability to adapt content for different digital platforms and audiences.
  • Knowledge of the top performing project and content management tools/systems.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and the ability to track and interpret performance metrics.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas for digital engagement.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the non-profit or association industry.
  • Knowledge of Digital Accessibility best practices.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Planner, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Teams).
  • Experience with Drupal 9 CMS system, Google Analytics, and SharePoint file-sharing platform.
