Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Inside Sales Support Representative plays a crucial role in supporting our sales team and ensuring a seamless experience for our customers. This position involves handling customer inquiries, processing orders, coordinating with various departments, and providing administrative support to the sales team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and has a strong understanding of industrial products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Support:

    • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat, providing accurate information about products, pricing, availability, and delivery timelines.
    • Assist customers with product selection, offering guidance based on their specific needs and applications.
    • Resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Order Processing:

    • Accurately enter customer orders into the system, ensuring all details are correct, including product codes, quantities, pricing, and shipping information.
    • Monitor order status and provide customers with updates on their orders, including any delays or changes.
    • Coordinate with the warehouse, shipping, and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
  • Sales Team Support:

    • Assist the sales team with preparing quotes, proposals, and sales presentations, ensuring all documents are accurate and tailored to customer requirements.
    • Maintain and update customer records in the CRM system, ensuring all information is current and properly documented.
    • Generate sales reports, tracking key metrics such as order volume, customer interactions, and sales team performance.
  • Product Knowledge:

    • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s product offerings, including features, benefits, and typical applications.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and competitor offerings to better assist customers and support the sales team.
  • Administrative Tasks:

    • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document management to support the sales team’s efficiency.
    • Assist in coordinating sales meetings, training sessions, and other events, ensuring all necessary materials and logistics are prepared.
  • Collaboration:

    • Work closely with other departments, including marketing, customer service, and finance, to ensure a cohesive approach to customer service and sales support.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to identify potential leads and follow up on marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or higher in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
    • 2-4 years of experience in sales support, customer service, or a related role, preferably in an industrial or technical environment.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency with CRM systems, order processing software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Basic understanding of industrial products and services, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new products.
    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Interpersonal Skills:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-centric approach to problem-solving.
    • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
    • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of the job.
  • Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to work in an office environment with extended periods of sitting and using a computer.
    • Occasionally lift and carry materials or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Certifications:

    • Relevant certifications in customer service, sales, or product management are a plus.
    • Training in specific industry products or software (e.g., ERP systems) is advantageous.
