Under the guidance of a designated supervisor, identify, inform, and recruit students who qualify for college programs and services; assist in the organization of a specific program.
Contribute to the formulation of the program's objectives and goals; suggest policy modifications and implementation strategies; compile various necessary reports related to the program.
Collect diverse data, including calculating salaries and benefits, estimating the number of students to be served, and budgeting for various college programs.
Identify potential students; arrange and facilitate individual or small group sessions with prospective students; provide information and support regarding the program; address inquiries; clarify and explain project policies and eligibility criteria.
Conduct workshops focused on job placement; interview students to determine suitable job placement sites.
Organize and lead campus tours and departmental visits for interested students; maintain communication and follow-up with recruited students; interpret placement assessments for program eligibility.
Provide orientation about the college to community groups, agencies, and institutions; disseminate information regarding college programs and services, including recruitment, enrollment, and financial assistance.
Assist in completing financial aid applications; oversee students throughout the financial aid process; monitor academic progress for eligibility.
Support students in applying to four-year colleges and coordinate follow-ups with the appropriate counselors.
Establish and sustain relationships with public agencies and local schools, both public and private; respond to inquiries, both written and verbal, regarding the program.
Maintain connections with public and private employment agencies; stay informed about local hiring trends.
Assist in the coordination of various individual college programs.
Participate in a range of conferences and workshops related to the program; drive to different locations to establish and monitor job placements, perform outreach, and attend job fairs and placement seminars.
Provide training and guidance to student assistants as needed.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Any combination equivalent to:
Associate degree with coursework in behavioral science, business, or a related field and two years of experience in a student services environment.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver's license.Knowledge and Abilities

$3, $5,543.79 monthly
Maximum Entry Level Salary:
$4,122.12 monthly
