General Overview
As a valued team member, you will receive training and develop competencies in various aspects of customer service, including but not limited to:
  • Stocking merchandise
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization
  • Updating price labels
  • Utilizing effective communication skills to address customer inquiries

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Customer Service:
  • Represent Ace Hardware positively.
  • Proactively assist customers in resolving issues.
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor while interacting with customers and colleagues.
  • Ensure all inquiries and phone calls are addressed promptly and courteously.
  • Direct unresolved customer complaints to management.
  • Possess strong knowledge of products and store layout.

Store Operations:
  • Contribute to a positive, professional, and safe work atmosphere.
  • Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise throughout the store.
  • Help maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor and stockroom.
  • Participate in merchandise resets as needed.
  • Operate a forklift with appropriate training.
  • Engage in store meetings.
  • Exhibit professionalism in appearance and conduct.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous retail experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand, walk, lift (up to 50 lbs), and climb as necessary.
