Company Overview:Our client, a civil engineering firm, is seeking a skilled Construction Services Manager to join their team. This role involves managing water and wastewater treatment plant construction services and working closely with municipal clients. The position is based at the regional level, covering multiple offices, and requires coordination with various teams to ensure project success.


Position Overview:The Construction Services Manager (CSM) will act as a high-level liaison between contractors and engineers, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients. The CSM will manage Construction Administrators and Field Representatives, coordinate with survey and engineering teams, and maintain high levels of client satisfaction. This is primarily an administrative role, working mostly out of the office.


Responsibilities:

  • Monitor project schedules and budgets to ensure profitable construction phase projects.
  • Ensure continuous communication among clients, regional Office Managers (OM), Senior Project Managers (SPMs), and Project Managers (PMs).
  • Implement construction contract and administration ideas to save client time and money.
  • Oversee timely construction administration and field observation services by managing schedules and resources.
  • Develop CA and CFR staff through training and regular project reviews.
  • Ensure quality control from preconstruction coordination to project closeout.
  • Conduct constructability reviews for project designs.
  • Adhere to and enhance quality control procedures, documentation, and project closeout.
  • Conduct staff evaluations and provide input for bonuses and disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Participate in committees, teams, and special projects as requested by management.


Qualifications:

  • Active PE, EI licensure or Construction Professional certification is a plus.
  • Experience in construction services management, preferably in the water/wastewater treatment plant sector, with a preference for municipal clients.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel across Eastern North Carolina, with minimal overnight travel required.
