NOVA Engineering has an opening for a locally based Senior Inspector (Threshold Inspector) for our Construction Materials Testing (CMT) department in the Panama City Beach, FL metropolitan area. This Senior Inspector needs to have multiple International Code Council (ICC) certifications:

  • Soils Special Inspector
  • Structural Welding Special Inspector
  • Structural Steel and Bolting Special Inspector
  • Structural Masonry Special Inspector
  • Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector

Job Responsibilities:

The Special Inspector will perform structural steel reviews, including bolted and welded connections, CMU, cast-in-place concrete, reinforcing steel, post tension cable, precast/prestress members, wood structures and cold-formed metals.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience with structural building inspections
  • ICC Special Inspector certification in three or more of the following disciplines: Structural Welding, Structural Steel and Bolting, Structural Masonry, Reinforced Concrete, Soils

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional certifications are preferred: PTI (Post-tensioning), ACI (Concrete), AWS CWI, and DOT
