Medical Scheduler- Front Office

Central Coast Hospice is a locally owned and operated organization with an excellent reputation throughout the Central Coast. We are seeking a full-time Scheduler to join our Hospice team in our San Luis Obispo office.
The Scheduler will coordinate and schedule all team member care/visits, answer multiple phone lines for a variety of disciplines with accuracy and efficiency, answer questions and assist patients to ensure patient care is planned, coordinated and delivered appropriately while dealing with constant interruptions with the ability to stay on task and re-prioritize workload as needed.
Work Schedule: Full-time hours, Monday through Friday with weekend rotation
Qualifications:
- Must have previous work experience in a busy office environment
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
- Knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook and Word) and the ability to type at least 40 wpm
Personal Attributes:
- Act calmly and professionally at all times
- Have a customer-service based approach with all interactions
- Strong organization and communication skills with the ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment
- High attention to detail and good follow up with the ability to get things done in a timely manner
