Job Description/Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
  • Answer phone calls, emails and walk-in patients
  • Perform insurance verification and billings tasks
  • Schedule appointments
  • Prescreen and prepare patient file charts
  • Document all pertinent communications with patients, physicians, and insurance companies in compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Identify and coordinate patient resources pertaining on payment for services
  • Maintain responsibility for credentialing
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies and equipment
  • Provide excellent customer service to prospective, current, and past patients questions and concerns in a professional manner
Qualifications Needed
  • A minimum of High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Previous experience in working in a medical office setting is required
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Possess strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, and have the ability to meet deadlines
  • Working Medical Terminology knowledge is required
  • Working knowledge of medical billing and treatment documentation is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs are required
  • Excellent math calculation skills are required
