Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at Select Medical Rehabilitation Hospital in Temple, TX. As a key member of our HR department, you will provide administrative support and confidential services to ensure the smooth operation of our Human Resources function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update employee files, including HR, Employee Health, Agency, and Contract Services, with accurate and complete information.
  • Prepare and maintain employee new hire packets and ensure timely completion of the new hire process and paperwork.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state statutes by maintaining postings, files, and procedures.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll with coordination and support from corporate payroll.
  • Coordinate recruitment processes in compliance with the hospital's recruitment plans.
  • Proactively address employee concerns and coordinate investigations as needed.
  • Process and maintain worker's compensation claims in a timely manner.
  • Process unemployment requests, FMLA, and Leave of Absences accurately and timely.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Two or more years of experience in Human Resources with exposure to a broad range of functions.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office suite and computer applications related to Human Resources functions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous HR experience in a healthcare facility with exposure to Joint Commission and CMS.
  • Familiarity with benefit administration, basic HR functions, payroll administration, and state and federal employment laws.
  • Detail-oriented with expertise in problem-solving, observation, group dynamics, and interpersonal relations.
