SUMMARY: The ideal candidate should be passionate about financial markets, has a strong analytical mindset, deep understanding of databases and data visualization, as well as strong attention to detail. Thrive in a dynamic environment delivering against tight deadlines, and a passion for scaling operations through automation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Familiarity with Tamarac (or other portfolio management software), Portfolio Center, and Salesforce a huge plus.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Vlookups, Pivots, Macros, VBA, External data import/exports)
  • Analyze data sources between systems for completeness and timeliness.
  • Verify accuracy of data, reports and provide insights.
  • Contribute to the design and documentation of internal procedures to improve data consistency, cleanliness, and ease of use.
  • Communicate task progress status and any potential delays that will have impact on the larger project.
  • Work as a liaison between data end users and the software development team to troubleshoot any potential data issues that may arise.
  • Ad hoc reporting.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Data Analysis, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Acute analytical abilities and attention to detail are essential for this position.
  • Ability to work independently and formulate analysis plans with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge in the financial markets, specifically in reporting a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL queries a plus.
  • Licensed Series 7 a plus.
