The Business Analyst will support strategic initiatives of the overall mortgage business across all verticals including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Technology, and Finance. They will help achieve business Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) through improved efficiency, reduced costs, higher quality, and improved user & customer experience. He or She will also help research market trends and potential solutions and assist in implementing agreed-upon recommendations. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, be an excellent communicator, and a detailed planner, with the ability to absorb various topics in a short period of time.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Complete performance analysis on our company’s sales and operations through modeling and metrics
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for process improvement
  • Analyze department performance through development and publication of OKR’s, KPI’s, and reporting dashboards
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs, lower risk, reduce defects, or gain efficiency in all company business units
  • Identify and forecast discrepancies within and amongst business verticals
  • Formulate and draft project-based business cases via decks with recommended solutions and present to management and executives
  • Partner with department managers to enhance and/or replace current systems/services
  • Work alongside department managers and staff to identify project needs and define project scope & deliverables
  • Perform as a product stakeholder with regard to the company’s internal production workflow, with a goal of reducing time in the loan origination process and improving conversions
  • Complete specific analyses in order to achieve data-driven insights related to how the company can improve the conversion pipe and loan cycle times
  • Manage planning at an enterprise level and advise leadership on the tracking and communicating of goals for each respective department & channel of the business
  • Manage business metrics at an enterprise level and participate in or present to senior leaders in operations executive meetings and board meetings as needed/directed
  • Responsible for conducting research on various vendors providing mortgage solutions to lenders and core technology services
  • Assist in managing project plans, timelines, and costs using project management software and tools
  • Assist with updates and enhancements to policies, procedures, workflows, job-aids, and training artifacts
  • Develop relationships with vendors and other third-parties to stay abreast of updates and changes to products/services
  • Help coordinate project meetings, prepare meeting materials, and take detailed notes for distribution
  • Create, assign, and track project tasks, and foster a sense of urgency with others for completion of project deliverables
  • Manage information flow and task coordination across relevant departments and functions
  • Assist with the development and improvement of project strategies
  • Monitor project progress and regularly communicate updates to participants and stakeholders
  • Provide the project team and senior management with the information they require to be able to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Anticipate problems and develop contingency plans through Critical Risk Analysis
  • Close out projects by documenting completion of all requirements and obtaining final stakeholder approvals
  • Complete ad-hoc requests and special projects as directed
  • Attend conferences and seminars to broaden knowledge on industry and technology solutions

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prefer a minimum of 2 years of applicable experience within the mortgage industry

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
