Job Summary:

Gallery Dept. is seeking an experienced, personable, and well-organized Greeter and Customer Service Representative to join our team.  In this position, you will be responsible for opening and closing the Café location. This role will greet and address any and all questions potential customers and people may have walking past the location. This position will also act as a Customer Service Representative addressing clients needs and questions via phone and email. This position requires great communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to problem solve, remain focused under stressful conditions, and impeccable attention to detail. Previous experience in Customer Service is highly recommended, as well as a strong understanding of the fashion/art world, the community, and the clients we cater to.


Greeter and Customer Service Representative

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

 

Greeter:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees, vendors, and visitors, ensuring a professional and welcoming atmosphere
  • Manage incoming calls, direct inquiries to the appropriate people, and take customer service calls
  • Open and close Cafe location
  • Water plants outside
  • Greet and address any questions potential customers and people may have walking past the location
  • Maintain a tidy and organized area
  • Liaise with vendors, assisting in inquiries, deliveries, and scheduling appointments
  • Manage incoming mail, packages, and deliveries efficiently
  • Communicate courteously and respectfully with all stakeholders, embodying the brand's values

 

Customer Service:

  • Answer customer’s needs via phone and email
  • Provide introductory information to new customers
  • Ensure that customers are satisfied with products or services
  • Follow up with clients or customers to check that they’re still satisfied with any purchases
  • Let customers or clients know about additional products, suggestions or services
  • Determine the quickest, most effective ways to answer a client’s or customer’s questions
  • Escalate queries and concerns to eCommerce team and management
  • Troubleshooting common issues with a product or service
  • Work with other departments to find appropriate solutions
  • Develop expertise in product, fabrics, fit, and delivery cycle

 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Proficient in computer skills (Microsoft, Mac, PC)
  • Must be a strong team player, punctual, and have excellent attendance record
  • Ability to multi-task, and prioritize tasks
  • Must sign an NDA

 

Education and Experience:

  • High School Degree or GED equivalent
  • At least 6 months customer service experience
