Reports to: Director of Sales - AHTI

Job Summary:

The person in the position of Key Account Manager for Amphenol High Technology Industrial (AHTI) Medical is responsible for managing all aspects of the relationship between one or more of Amphenol's Strategic Key Accounts and the various business units of AHTI with the ultimate goal of accelerating growth in revenue for several Amphenol divisions. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise to the engineers at all Key Account locations, oversee numerous projects simultaneously, and manage the business relationships at the sourcing and executive levels of the Key Account.

This entails spending time at all relevant locations of the Key Account, building relationships, establishing credibility, and serving as the primary point of contact for each relevant AHTI division. Success is measured on increased revenue in the assigned Key Account.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify decision makers and develop strong business relationships with them at all relevant locations around the world.
  • Understand the markets, applications, and growth strategies of the Key Account and be able to translate this information into growth opportunities for AHTI.
  • Serve as the local technical expert on all relevant AHTI products and capabilities, and facilitate the design-in of AHTI products in every market modality of the Key Account
  • Manage the pipeline, sales and revenue forecasts for existing and new products and programs on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Facilitate business review meetings between the Key Account and the various AHTI divisions, at least annually.
  • Facilitate contract review and price negotiations as necessary.
  • Facilitate problem resolution and escalation as necessary when issues arise.

Related Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferred) or Marketing / Business.
  • At least five years in sales or marketing of electro-mechanical components with a demonstrated track record of successfully growing sales, preferably to medical device OEMs.
  • At least three years in a Key Account Management Role

Other Preferred Qualifications /Skill Sets:

  • Superior oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities with an understanding of key business metrics.
  • Extensive travel to meet business objectives both domestically and internationally.
  • Strong leadership and negotiating skills.
  • Location in the Southern CA, Boston MA, Minneapolis MN, OH areas is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Global travel ~50% of the time
