LightspeedDMS LLC has an immediate opening available for a (BDR) Business Development Rep. This is an outstanding entry to mid-level sales role, with the opportunity to grow Prior sales and team lead experience is required, and you should be extremely comfortable with phone etiquette, typing skills, and team collaboration. In this position, you will be responsible for prospecting sales opportunities either through cold calls or by fielding incoming calls. You will also provide support and mentorship to new and existing sales seps. This position will have a salary of up 65K, based on experience. In addition, you will be compensated $50 for each set appointment (KPI minimum of 5 per week), and $250 if that appointment results in a deal closure.


This position is fully remote, but we ask that candidates are local to the Utah County, Salt Lake County, or Davis County area for potential in-person meetings, and to align with our partners in the MST time zone. Excellent communications skills are needed - Have the freedom to use your acquired skills to build relationships and identify exciting opportunities within Lightspeed


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Consult with prospective customers to find out their business needs and how Lightspeed’s products can help resolve or manage their business needs
  • Communicate with field sales reps on a regular basis and support them as needed
  • The main responsibility will be lead generation, cold calling, and scheduling of appointments
  • Generate new revenue opportunities through outbound prospecting by following sales leads generated from referrals, networking, marketing, cold-calling, and lead databases
  • Assess and identify the wants and needs of your customer(s) over the phone
  • Scheduling structured sales appointments with clients
  • Meet business production goals and objectives as established
  • Identify areas of opportunity and improvement within the team
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to identify training needs and schedule appropriate training sessions for reps
  • Provide excellent customer service and expertise to clients
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • 4+ years previous sales experience desired.
  • 1+ year previous phone sales or support experience
  • Prior experience in a team lead or supervisory position
  • Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM tool is preferred
  • Excellent phone, writing, listening, and comprehension skills
  • Experience with the sales process and objection handling
  • Knowledge of the Motorcycle, RV, and Marine industries would be a significant advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed
  • Must be self-motivated, detail-orientated, and work well in a team environment
  • Must be proactive and open to learning and trying new sales techniques
