Job Summary

The Candidate will be primarily responsible for ensuring that the daily tasks of the Operations Department are completed in a timely fashion, managing the employees as well as making decisions when the VP of Operations is unavailable. This position does hold signing authority.

Essential Job Functions
  • Works in conjunction with the staff of the operations department in order to complete the department’s daily operational tasks and ensure that all the operations are completed in a timely fashion, accurately following the bank’s procedures and all applicable regulations.
  • Maintains proper records of all required tasks.
  • Fields calls from the customer base and will be expected to aid the customer in utilizing various online products in order to help the customer conduct business.
  • Represents FVCbank to the client and community in a highly professional, courteous manner and maintain the highest level of professional integrity by placing emphasis on the client’s best interest at all times.
  • Supports branch personnel in regard to the operation function, as well as advising and assisting branch employees in transaction processing.
  • Reviews transactions for accuracy and record keeping purposes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum High School degree or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years banking experience
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and operational processes
Abilities Required
  • Ability & comfort in making & handling customer calls
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (especially Word and Excel)
  • Proficient with Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare business correspondence, write procedures, and interpret policies
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Highly organized
Desired Skills
  • Prior knowledge of common banking software (Fedline, Horizon, OLB, BeB, ACH Tracker, eWire, Intercept, etc.) desirable but not required.
  • Knowledge of retail and commercial banking products and services as well as banking regulations
  • Professional and effective interpersonal skills
Essential Functions
  • Ability to sit, stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components
  • Ability to converse and exchange information with all levels of staff within the organization
  • Ability to observe, perceive, and identify data
  • Ability to travel via air, rail, automobile, and/or bus
