Job DescriptionJob Description

The Assistant, Clinical Support (CSA) provides clerical and administrative support, and aids Medical Assistants, nurses and providers with patient care screenings. The CSA provides optimal service to patients within the established position parameters, respecting and demonstrating patient confidentiality and cultural humility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and greet patients, guests and visitors using Tap360’s standardized customer service protocols.
  • To support efficient clinic operations, performs patient service, receptionist, clerical and other functions.
  • Assists in the care, cleaning, sterilization and maintenance of medical equipment and instruments. Monitors relevant equipment expiration dates and follows equipment maintenance schedules.
  • Maintains high quality patient care environment by cleaning, preparing and stocking examination rooms and treatment areas per established Tap360 standards. Assists in maintaining inventory of patient care supplies and vaccines.
  • Under the direction of a Medical Assistant or provider, performs patient care screenings (e.g., vision, hearing, retinopathy, EKG), and/or obtains consultation and laboratory reports from other entities.
  • Performs point of care quality control.
  • May perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimal Requirements:

  • CPR/BLS certification required at time of hire or must be obtained with 90 days of start date.
  • Interest in community-based healthcare.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in an efficient manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Must be highly energetic, motivated, resourceful, and self-directed.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Certified Nurse Assistant program highly desired but not required.
  • Proficiency in language(s) in addition to English highly desired and always preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), electronic medical record applications and other healthcare software desired.
