Senior Director of Fund Management

The Senior Director of Fund Management at Augmentjobs will be responsible for overseeing the company's fund management operations, including the strategic management and growth of investment portfolios. This role involves high-level decision-making, ensuring the alignment of fund strategies with overall business objectives, and driving the performance of the fund management team. The Senior Director will also be responsible for fostering relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, regulatory bodies, and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute fund management strategies that align with the company's long-term goals. Lead the creation of new investment products and ensure that existing portfolios meet performance targets.
Portfolio Management: Oversee the performance of investment portfolios, ensuring optimal asset allocation and risk management. Continuously assess market conditions and adjust strategies to maximize returns.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with investors, clients, and other stakeholders. Provide regular updates on fund performance and market conditions, and address any concerns or inquiries.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing fund management team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and excellence within the department.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all fund management activities comply with relevant regulations and industry standards. Stay informed about changes in the regulatory environment and adjust strategies accordingly.
Financial Oversight: Oversee the financial performance of the funds, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Innovation and Growth: Identify opportunities for growth, including new markets, investment products, and innovative strategies. Lead initiatives to expand the company's fund management capabilities and market presence.
Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management frameworks to protect the company's investments. Monitor and mitigate risks associated with the fund management activities.
Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is required. An MBA, CFA, or equivalent advanced degree or certification is highly preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in fund management, investment banking, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in managing large-scale investment portfolios.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading large, diverse teams. Ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve high performance.
Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make sound investment decisions.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to stakeholders at all levels, including investors, board members, and regulatory authorities.
Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities, with a focus on long-term growth and sustainability.
Market Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and economic trends. Ability to stay ahead of market developments and adjust strategies accordingly.
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of the regulatory environment for fund management, with experience ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in financial software, portfolio management systems, and other relevant technologies. Ability to leverage technology to improve fund management processes.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
Ethical Conduct: Commitment to the highest standards of ethical conduct, with a focus on transparency, integrity, and accountability.
Competitive salary within the range of $205,000 to $320,000.
