Job Description:

The Director of Fund Management at Augmentjobs is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational management of the company's investment funds. This role involves managing multiple funds, ensuring optimal fund performance, and aligning fund strategies with the overall business objectives. The Director of Fund Management will work closely with senior management, investors, and other stakeholders to maximize returns and mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fund Strategy Development: Lead the development and execution of fund strategies that align with the company's financial goals and market opportunities.

  • Portfolio Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of the funds, including investment selection, portfolio balancing, and performance monitoring.

  • Investor Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for investors, providing regular updates on fund performance, responding to inquiries, and managing investor expectations.

  • Risk Management: Implement risk management strategies to protect the funds from market volatility and other financial risks.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of fund managers and analysts, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure that all funds are managed in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Prepare and present regular reports to the executive team and board of directors.

  • Market Analysis: Stay informed of market trends, economic conditions, and industry developments to make informed investment decisions.

  • Fundraising: Support fundraising efforts by developing strong relationships with potential investors and presenting compelling investment opportunities.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or CFA designation is preferred.

  • Experience: 5 to 9 years of experience in fund management, portfolio management, or a related field, with a proven track record of successful fund performance.

  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.

  • Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and risk management.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make sound investment decisions.

  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Investor Relations: Experience in managing investor relationships and fundraising activities.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance issues related to fund management.

  • Technological Proficiency: Proficiency in financial analysis software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
