Position: Transportation Assistant II

Reports: Department Manager


General Qualities:

- Strong written and oral communication skills to coordinate the activities of senior management

- Proactive self-starter capable of setting a positive example for the staff

- Provides technical and management support to the senior management

- Manages a major complex project and/or several routines/fewer complex projects


Functions And Responsibilities:

- Work along with the supervisor to review and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications, and construction methods to ensure compliance with legal requirements and safety regulations.

- Assist in measuring dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades and/or pavement to ensure compliance to plans and codes.

- Gathers and maintains recorded documents.

- Makes field notes and computations.

- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Educational/Professional Requirements:


- High School Diploma, GED, or post-secondary education

- PennDOT 12 Web-based TCI Modules Certification

- Must possess a valid driver's license.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to navigate through company internet-based systems.

- Working usage of an iPad

- Possess basic math skills necessary to perform computations for length, area, and volume.
