Municipal Staff Engineer II

Verdantas is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team as a Municipal Staff Engineer II. This role will be based in Newark, Ohio, and will involve working on various municipal projects, including roadway design, multimodal design, stormwater management, and utility design.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Project Managers with technical and civil engineering design
- Perform technical engineering work associated with municipal and transportation clients
- Attend meetings with municipal officials, engineers, developers, and contractors
- Support technical report writing and communicate outcomes effectively to team members and clients
- Collaborate with and observe contractors during construction
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
- 2-4 years of experience in civil engineering consulting
- Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D or Bentley Geopak/Openroads required
- Familiarity with stormwater modeling software is a plus
- Candidate must be able to pass a background check and drug test
