What you’re good at

This role performs a wide range of duties across planning, education, research and analysis for both existing and prospective clients. Using your impeccable communication skills and work ethic, you will apply critical thinking skills, work independently and anticipate agency needs and client questions.

- Cultivate strong relationships with - and serve as the main point of contact for your portfolio of clients, key vendors, and carriers.
- Respond to clients, insurance carriers, sales team, and supervisors’ correspondences and requests in a timely, effective, and professional manner.
- Research and present answers to client questions about their policies and coverage.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on carrier products, guidelines, underwriting, and legislative changes in order to make effective recommendations to clients.
- Analyze and compare current exposures to develop renewal or new business specs for marketing.
- Process and submit new and renewal clients for marketing and placement, review and summarize quotes for competitiveness and accuracy, and negotiate rates when appropriate.
- Prepare proposals with the help of the sales team for client presentations.
- Execute accurate invoicing and financing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Process and check policies, endorsements, endorsement requests, and audits for accuracy.
- Manage, submit, and follow-up with claims throughout the claims process.
- Prepare and manage timetables, summaries and/or schedules for the entire book of business with regard to coverage, renewals, deliverables, and marketing strategy.
- Must be an active partner with the agent to develop account sales in a manner consistent with our agency marketing plans and new business goals.
- The Account Manager must maintain a good working relationship with underwriters, marketing representatives and all internal clients. Along with following internal procedures and insurance company regulations.
- Must be able to complete applications on our clients’ behalf for all Commercial Lines coverages, including price quotations and comparisons.
- The individual must maintain expiration/renewal instruction list and document progress on a day-to-day basis.
- Assist in the remarket process along with overseeing quotes and ensuring proposals are executed in a timely manner.
- Ability to review all policies with a great attention to detail and look for accuracy along with possible exposures that are not covered. Must be able to contact the insured and alert the client of any possible gaps in their current existing coverages and provide solutions to address those gaps.
- A key contributor in the renewal process by maintaining expiration/renewal instruction list and ensuring renewals are ordered no later than 60-days prior to expiration. Must be organized with a great attention to detail and be able to track and document the expiration/renewal list on a day-to-day basis.
- Ensure all renewals are checked and distributed for delivery to the insured.
- Receive, prepare, and analyze insurance details on existing business for commercial lines accounts. The Account Manager must be able to make recommendations to find the best insurance solutions for the agency, the client, and the insurance companies we represent.
