Super Buys in Cookeville, TN is seeking a motivated and reliable part-time Keyholder to join our team of 8. This role primarily involves evening shifts and weekends, with availability on Sundays from 12pm to 6pm required. Our store is located at 138 South Willow Ave.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and interact with guests to provide exceptional service.
- Consult with guests to understand their needs and preferences.
- Demonstrate and explain merchandise, offering suitable options.
- Answer guest questions and assist with purchase decisions.
- Retrieve merchandise from sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations; place special orders as needed.
- Process payments using the store's point-of-sale system.
- Handle returns and exchanges efficiently.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ensure a positive customer experience through regular interaction.
- Coordinate and facilitate staff tasks for timely execution.
- Train and develop new team members to meet company standards.
- Accurately process and reconcile shift payment transactions.
- Motivate staff to work towards common goals.
- Update the store's social media during shifts.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Strong sales and guest service abilities.
- Extensive knowledge of merchandise.
- Ability to anticipate and meet customer needs.
- Proficiency in recommending and selecting merchandise.
- Capability to operate or quickly learn the store’s point-of-sale system.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous retail experience (required).
- Previous Keyholder experience (preferred).
- Outgoing and engaging personality.
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
