Hire Type: Direct Hire
Job Duties:
• Manage and direct the company's engineering work.• Lead and develop the company's engineering business development and client relations.• Working out of the Portage area office, candidates will provide clients with engineering solutions for construction and maintenance/reliability issues.• Direct/manage engineering operations for the company.• Establish operational plans and staffing levels to develop offices capable of performing multiple large-scale projects and maintenance work.• Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency• Review performance data (financial, budgets, sales, and activity reports) to monitor and measure productivity, goal progress, and activity levels• Oversee the writing of scope, budget, QAQC, continual improvement, and research and development• Monitor and develop professional staff to maximize their potential• Establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base• Develop and maintain positive client relationships• Serves as Company representative at all levels of operations• Other duties as assigned• Monitor quality and process control, and suggest improvements as needed.
Qualifications:
•8 - 10 + years’ experience in engineering Industrial buildings, large-scale equipment, and maintenance.• Professional Engineer registration required. Structural Engineer registration is preferred.• Engineering Management and Team Leadership skills• Experience managing and mentoring teams of engineers• Excellent Project Management skills• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Experience in the industrial, commercial, or residential engineering industry is a plus Experience preferred in: construction, heavy industrial, manufacturing, or steel processing environments.• Proficient in 3D analysis, CAD, and Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel. Experience in FEI software preferred.
