Are you READY?

We are hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join the team. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, including construction billing/AR, collections, and reconciliations. This is a full-time position.

Essential Duties:

  • Proven Experience with AIA Billing Procedures
  • Review Contracts to extract detailed Billing information and line items (SOV- Schedule of Values)
  • Work with project managers to review active projects for billings
  • Prepare and submit approved monthly pay applications (AIA Billing) based on clients' requirements (through Sage, Procore, and other construction submittal platforms).
  • Follow-up on outstanding change orders with project managers to ensure they are completed, signed and billed in a timely manner
  • Responsible for providing required additional documentation, certification, material photos and lien releases
  • Create and maintain construction project records in Sage including Change orders
  • Prepare and review waivers, including conditional, unconditional and final.
  • Investigate and resolve customer inquiries and billing issues
  • Make collection calls on past-due accounts, including communicating with departments that can resolve customer issues and result in payment of past-due amounts.
  • Prepare required monthly reports for management with updates on billing activity and collection status
  • Oversee the collection of unpaid invoices and coordinate adjustments such as change orders and retention
  • Audit and Reconcile project-related financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information with accurate project completion to ensure accurate billing and collection of retainage.

Minimum Requirements:

· Proven work experience as a Project / Cost Accountant / Construction Billing or similar role

· Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and reporting requirements

· Experience with accounting software

· Excellent numerical skills and the ability to analyze complex financial information

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Ability to work effectively and independently as part of a team

· Excellent communication skills

· Great Customer Service

· BSc degree in Accounting, Finance or 2 Year Associate Degree in Accounting
