LiveWell Greenville is a coalition that actively builds partnerships to improve health outcomes for all individuals living in Greenville County. Our coalition has been in existence for over 13 years, and we now have more than 300 community partners working alongside us to change the systems and environments that prevent equitable access to healthy foods and physical activity opportunities. 

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

LiveWell Greenville (LWG) seeks a Research and Outreach Assistant to support coalition community engagement, research and evaluation projects connected with our Health Equity Action Leaders Board. The position will assist both the Community Action Coordinator and LWG’s Research Associate with activities such as scheduling meetings and taking meeting minutes, logistics coordination, partner communication, IRB submission and amendments, literature reviews, data collection, data cleaning, descriptive data analysis, and reporting.

 

Job Description:

  • Coordinate logistics for all HEAL Board meetings including scheduling meetings, sending out regular communications, setting up/breaking down meeting spaces, taking minutes and following up on tasks between meetings.
  • Under the direction of the Community Action Coordinator, build relationships with key community members, project stakeholders and coalition partners.
  • Schedules study meetings with external partners and develops meeting agendas with project lead and takes meeting minutes.
  • Support the Research Associate with the development and amendment of IRB applications.
  • Conducts literature reviews and assists with the development of study materials.
  • Collects qualitative and quantitative data following study protocols.
  • Enters and manages study data in RED Cap, Qualtrics, and other data management platforms.
  • Cleans data and conducts descriptive statistics under the supervision of project leads for reports, presentations, and academic products such as conference abstracts and manuscripts.
  • Coordinates with research and evaluation project leads as needed to ensure study timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Participates as a member of the research team and attends relevant project meetings.
  • Maintains research professionalism and exercises good judgement when handling sensitive data.
