JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Accountant position is responsible for the processing of fixed assets to ensure proper coding and accurate reporting in compliance with GAAP and governmental tax laws. Assist with all monthly reporting, procedures and close processes as necessary and compile financial information in order to create various internal/external reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fixed Asset Reporting and Equipment Usage Allocations.
- Banking activities: Daily/monthly downloads, preparation of daily cash and compass credit card files, bank recons, misc. banking entries for month end.
- Review corporate credit card activity and post entries for expense reporting.
- Work with practice managers to review monthly physician compensation and provide all reporting needs requested by physicians.
- Prepare accurate monthly journal entries as assigned.
- Ensure an accurate and timely closing process as relates to assigned duties.
- Review monthly sales tax returns for accuracy and ensure timely filing.
- Prepare information/schedules related to the corporate income tax return.
- Assist finance team members in the implementation of processes and databases designed to improve efficiency, accuracy and data management in the Finance department.
- Assist with the annual budget by extracting data from various systems to be used in the budget process.
- Complete corporate surveys as requested by V.P. of Financial Ops. and/or Executive V.P.
- Generate and produce internal/external reports as required by Controller.
- Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Supervisor & Controller.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Three years accounting experience required.
