Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Drive the evolution of Data & Services products/platforms with a focus on data science and engineering.
  • Ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities in the Pharma industry.
  • Participate in the development of data and analytics infrastructure for product development, adhering to agile methodologies.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to understand and document technical requirements for new products.
  • Identify and evaluate data elements, deliver analytics for product development, and ensure proper data governance policies are followed.
  • Continuously innovate and explore new approaches, tools, techniques, and technologies to solve business problems and generate insights.
  • Partner with various business functions, including R&D, Clinical, Engineering, and Commercial, to prioritize and address key problems.
  • Evaluate trade-offs between analytics solutions, incorporating feedback from stakeholders to make informed decisions.
  • Break down large solutions into smaller, releasable milestones, collect data and feedback, and track usage to inform future development.
  • Evangelize releases to users, incorporate feedback, and maintain awareness of technical and product trends.
  • Consistently focus on key drivers of organizational value, prioritize operational activities, and identify product improvement opportunities.
  • Aggregate, collate, and manipulate client data sets, conduct technical analysis, and identify trends.

Techno-Functional Skills:

  • Experience in data science and engineering within the Pharma industry is mandatory.
  • Proficient in data manipulation, analytics, and ensuring data quality, including data lineage, quality checks, and classification.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies, with hands-on experience using JIRA and Confluence.
  • Ability to evaluate and choose between multiple analytics solutions based on usability, technical feasibility, and stakeholder opinions.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify trends, draw insights, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are mandatory.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of data governance best practices, ensuring proper implementation of data policies.
  • Experience in managing and structuring data sets for downstream analytics.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in data science and engineering within the Pharma industry.
  • Bachelor’s/Advanced degree in Information Management, Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Science, and Operations Management.
  • Experience working in agile methodologies, particularly with JIRA and Confluence.
  • Strong background in data analytics, data management, and data governance.
  • Familiarity with industry techniques and best practices for data analysis and product development.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively engage with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant educational background in a technical or analytical field.
  • Continuous self-learning and training to stay updated on technical and product trends.

The exact nature of duties, level of role as well as the salary and compensation package will be commensurate with experience and salary history.
