Position Overview:

As the Partnerships & Community Manager, you will be the onsite leader at our NYC campus, responsible for building a dynamic local community and generating leads through strategic partnerships. Your role is pivotal in enhancing our brand recognition and creating a funnel of potential students. You will be a key player in shaping the experience of everyone who steps into our campus, making it a welcoming and engaging hub for learning and networking.

Responsibilities:

  • Campus Leadership: Serve as the onsite leader at our NYC campus, overseeing the campus space and ensuring it is a welcoming, collaborative, and safe environment for learning and socializing. Act as the primary point of contact for our NYC community.
  • Community Building: Develop and maintain strategic relationships within the local NYC tech scene. Attend and host meetups and events on behalf of Flatiron School to grow our visibility and brand awareness.
  • Lead Generation: Leverage partnerships to generate leads and bring potential students into our campus. Ensure a consistent volume of high-quality applications to fill our NYC classes.
  • Event Coordination: In partnership with our Events Manager, host regular events and meetups to engage current and prospective learners, alumni, and industry professionals. Occasional weeknights and weekends are required.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with colleagues across Admissions, Community, Education, Career Services, Advising, and Marketing teams to provide a seamless student and community experience.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Represent Flatiron School at industry meetups and networking events. Create content such as short videos for social media, and facilitate icebreakers or emcee events as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in partnership management, business development, sales, or similar experience within the educational or technology sector.
  • Proven track record of growing a large community or following in NYC.
  • Deep knowledge of and enthusiasm for the local NYC tech scene.
  • Excellent communicator, comfortable addressing large groups and facilitating group activities. Able to connect with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing schedules.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to switch contexts as required. Capable of making independent, business-aligned decisions.
  • Ability to analyze student data, identify patterns, and make informed recommendations.
  • Proven ability to meet quantitative goals related to increasing the pipeline of prospective learners through strategic partnerships.
  • Experience with CRMs such as Salesforce and other databases is a plus.

Expected Compensation:

  • $80K-$85K
