Lamoille Health Partners is seeking a detail-orientated Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our finance operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Processes bi-weekly payroll for up to 250 employees and notifies Chief Financial Officer of cash transfers required prior to distribution of payroll.
  • Reviews ADP data for accuracy, clarifies inconsistencies with site managers & makes manual adjustments as necessary, including bonus & miscellaneous payments.
  • Prepares month end closing reconciliation and documentation for all Payroll related G/L accounts.
  • Collaborates with HR in completion of annual audits for Workers Compensation and Retirement Plan.
  • Monitors self funded health insurance invoicing and reconciles Cash Claims Account on a monthly basis.
  • Responsible for the daily download of Operating Account transactions, preparation and sending of patient account deposits to patient financial services manager or designee.
  • Performs Petty Cash/Cash Drawer and Fixed Assess audits within LHP.
  • Assists Director of Finance/CFO as requested with month end close processes for assigned accounts. Prepares standard month end journal entries for assigned accounts

Qualification:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Attention to detail and ability to solve problems quickly and responsibly
  • Excellent communication skills in both writing and speaking
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
