Digital and Social Media Marketing Manager

UB Greensfelder currently has an opening for a Digital and Social Media Marketing Manager in our Cincinnati, Cleveland, Chicago-East, or St. Louis office, preferably with 5+ years of experience in the professional services industry, legal industry, or related industry.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Digital and Social Media Marketing Manager is a critical member of the marketing department, with a primary focus on leading and executing firm-wide digital and social media marketing efforts. This includes overseeing and executing website content, social media content, the development and distribution of press releases, intranet content, and other internal and external communications as needed. The Digital and Social Media Marketing Manager leads the firm’s website and social media strategy, and manages external vendor relationships in those categories. This team member helps to support attorneys by providing insightful, strategic consultative services and implementation and execution of day-to-day marketing projects as needed, as well as concentrates on assisting with overall marketing strategy under the direction of the Chief Marketing Officer.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversees the firm’s website strategy and makes content updates to the back-end CMS as needed; identifies opportunities to improve user experience, visual elements, and ease of navigation for website visitors.
  • Develops and manages the firm’s content strategy, writing and/or editing daily content; maintains a weekly content calendar to prioritize firm news and events for both internal and external posting.
  • Develops and manages the firm’s social media strategy, focusing primarily on LinkedIn and Facebook; reviews data on an ongoing basis and adjusts posting schedule as appropriate to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Develops and upholds written and visual brand standards in all creative content from concept through execution.
  • Manages firm photography needs including scheduling sessions with photographers, overseeing retouching, and implementing internal archiving process.
  • Manages public-facing advertising program, working closely with freelance designer to write copy and develop design for print and digital advertising in support of firm goals and priority practice groups.
  • Manages the firm’s video content, working closely with approved video production companies to develop video scripts and content for web and social media use.
  • Works closely with the Sr. Communications Manager on developing and executing marketing communications plans for specific initiatives, industry/practice groups, and other projects as needed.
  • Maintains awareness and high degree of knowledge of competitors’ expertise and marketing efforts, reviews research results, reads industry publications and remains abreast of all industry-related marketing developments and best practices.
  • Communicates plans, project timelines and status with marketing department and other senior leaders as appropriate. Suggests alternatives to meet established deadlines when off course.
  • Works closely with other marketing team members providing direction and requirements during the creative process.

Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or Public Relations. At least five years of experience in the professional services industry, legal industry, or related industry preferred. Must be able to provide portfolio of online related work and creative/brand management experience. Must be able to demonstrate a high-level of proficiency in Content Management Systems, SharePoint, and MS Office software (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint). Adobe software proficiency is a plus.

  • Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Must have exceptional editing and proofreading skills.
  • Comfortable receiving/acting upon feedback and working with ambiguity.
