Job Description

The HR Generalist contributes to the accomplishment of the Talent Team’s mission that focuses on a never-ending dedication to attracting, developing, and retaining a superior workforce. The Comoto HR Generalist provides a wide-range of human resources support to their designated business units and through company-wide initiatives. This position assists with and facilitates Human Resources processes and practices that provide a positive employee experience across the Comotosphere by operating with a high-level of trust, thoughtful guidance, and a strong sense of community.

As the HR Generalist, you will be located on-site in our North Las Vegas location. You will help to remotely support the larger Comoto Fulfillment Network, Comoto Shared Services and Rider Support. You will report directly to the HR Manager, who oversees these teams across the network.

Starting compensation for this role begins at $55,000 annually, not to exceed $65,000 annually.  This is a full time, benefits-eligible position. Our Next HR Generalist Will Contribute To:

Employee Engagement

  • Serve as a point of contact on employment-related policy and program issues, providing counseling to employees and managers 
    •  Monitor employee relations-related actions, decisions, and communications to ensure managers understand and apply sound employee relations practices

  • Administer employee recognition programs
  • Coordinate employee events 
  • Serve as a member of Culture Riders (employee engagement committee) to support and coordinate employee-driven events
  • Includes managing the committee budget and setting meetings and agendas

General HR  

  • Coordinate employee onboarding process, including completion of required paperwork and conducting new employee orientation
  • Respond to requests for employment verification
  • Answer routine employee questions regarding benefits, payroll and other HR matters.
  • Ensure unemployment claims and garnishment claims are processed
  • Assist with the execution of annual HR processes
  • Identify ways to innovate and improve upon our internal HR processes
  • Ensure continued compliance with all federal, state, and local laws for all systems in place

Payroll 

  • Own all aspects of employee data in the HRIS system; ensure timely and accurate processing for payroll, benefits, and recording.
  • Maintain, files and update employee records, in accordance with Department of Labor requirements
  • Run, post, and  distribute monthly reports, including headcount, bonus accrual, birthday, and other ad hoc requests

  • Assist in some aspects of employee benefit data; ensure timely and accurate processing of enrollments and updates
  • Facilitate Comoto’s ongoing wellness initiatives and events
  • Administer the company’s workers compensation program
  • Partner with Safety Committee to ensure compliance with DOL standards
Qualifications

Who You Are: 

  • 2-4 years of experience in human resources processes or a related field
  • Willing to learn within the role and continue professional development
  • Maintain a positive attitude with a sense of optimism
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure or high-stress situations
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate strongly via email
  • Strong time management skills toward tasks and projects
  • Ability to be detail-oriented in all aspects 
  • Professional language and attitude
  • Ability to manage work/life balance 
  • Demonstrated ability to handle privy and confidential information with discretion
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a sense of independence
  • Ability to create and present initiatives and policies to a large or small  group in person or digitally 
  • Proficiency in general Microsoft Office or Google Docs Software
  • Strong working knowledge of QR Codes, quick links, and embed codes
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a non-stop environment 
  • Ability to move things along promptly without nagging
  • PHR or SHRM-CP is a nice-to-have but not required
