Join Our Team as an Electrical Engineer Advisor

We are looking for a talented and dedicated Electrical Engineer Advisor to join our team and make a significant impact on our plant operations. In this role, you will tackle diverse assignments, provide essential technical support across multiple departments, and collaborate closely with our maintenance team to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Leadership: Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and programs. Champion best practices in safety solutions for operations, maintenance, and staff personnel.
  • Problem Solving: Review and develop solutions for chronic downtime issues, troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems, and update/create electrical schematics.
  • Innovation & Improvement: Support trials and investigations of innovative technologies, manage equipment controls and repair projects, and drive continuous improvement (CI) initiatives.
  • Technical Support: Provide electro-mechanical troubleshooting support, maintain software backups and drawings, and coordinate with internal and external resources for equipment repairs, PMs, and upgrades.
  • Training & Development: Train maintenance personnel on best practices and technical procedures, participate in maintenance planning meetings, and execute CI projects.
  • Project Management: Support turnaround and unit shutdown planning, develop and execute capital projects, define project scopes, complete project estimates, and ensure technical accuracy and clarity in project reviews.
  • Performance Management: Support the plant’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI) management system and champion projects that align with the Mill’s vision.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience in process control within a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven electrical troubleshooting skills with experience in supporting multiple PLC and AC/DC drive platforms in a manufacturing setting.
  • Process Control Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with process control systems, including DCS, safety instrumented systems, and process control networks.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to use structured approaches effectively in problem-solving and troubleshooting.
  • Instrumentation Knowledge: Familiarity with instrumentation installation, specification sheets, calibration, calculations, and configuration.
