The Role
We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Team Lead with 10-15 years of experience in the consulting industry for related market sectors such as Water/Wastewater, Energy and Resources, Environment, and Property and Buildings. In this role, you will lead a design team of electrical and I&C engineers and designers throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Business Development leaders, and the EDO Business Group Leader to deliver design projects and develop our technical resources and capabilities.
- Provide technical advice and mentorship to the electrical team for a variety of electrical power generation, distribution, and utilization systems required for waterworks, industrial, and Federal projects.
- Review design outputs, calculations, design briefs, and technical reports and detailed design in accordance with industry standards and GHD's quality systems.
- Support the development of new markets/market sectors in your specialty; provide support for critical business development initiatives.
- Support proposal preparation and related activities.
- Demonstrate and promote project delivery skills by working with project directors and coordinators, as well as uni-disciplinary and multidisciplinary teams.
- Actively participate in client, professional, and industry events to promote the GHD brand.
- Potentially act as a project manager or project director on relevant projects.
- Contribute to the ongoing GHD design practice standardization across the region and nation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer license in Maryland; PE license in additional States is a plus.
- 10-15 years of electrical engineering experience in the consulting industry for related market sectors such as Water/Wastewater, Energy and Resources, Environment, and Property and Buildings.
- Experience in managing teams to develop, mentor, and lead professional technical staff.
- Knowledge and proven experience in project delivery including Federal projects.
- Proven understanding of NFPA 70 (NEC) and other electrical industry codes, standards, and recommended practices.
- Familiarity with ETAP or SKM computer-assisted electrical power study programs including short-circuit, protective relaying coordination, and arc-flash studies.
- Ability to manage priorities and develop team resources.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary range of $144,000 - $216,000 based on experience. As a multicultural organization, we encourage individual achievement and recognize the strength of a diverse workforce.
