Job Title: Electrical Controls Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will provide technical support to multiple departments, develop and implement best practices to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for various equipment controls and repair projects
  • Develop and implement best practices to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction
  • Work closely with maintenance personnel to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues
  • Train maintenance personnel on electrical systems and controls
  • Coordinate communications and efforts with internal and external resources to troubleshoot equipment and execute repairs, PMs, and upgrades
  • Participate in planning meetings with Maintenance and develop and execute CI projects
  • Perform RCFEs on equipment failures and review projects for technical accuracy and clarity
  • Support capital project development, define project scopes, complete project estimates, and support design and construction

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related technical field
  • Proven electrical troubleshooting skills to support multiple PLC and AC/DC drive platforms in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated technical experience with process control project execution
  • High level of understanding of and experience with process control systems, including DCS, safety instrumented systems, and process control networks
  • Ability to effectively use structured approaches in problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Capability of producing results in both a team and individual environment
