Company: Posterity Health
Website: www.posterityhealth.com
Job Type: Full-Time, Reduced Full-Time, or Part-Time
Job Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays
Medical Specialty: Urology | Male Reproductive Care
Benefits: Health, Dental & Vision
Work Settings: Telehealth, Clinic, Fertility Center (not a remote position)
Company Overview:
Posterity Health is dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of male reproductive health issues. Our mission is to support couples facing fertility challenges by proactively addressing and treating male factor conditions. We have brought together a team of national experts to provide comprehensive care, from initial conception planning to critical life-impacting decisions.
Today, 1 in 8 couples experience difficulties conceiving, with male factors contributing to over 50% of these cases. Male reproductive health issues often go undiagnosed and untreated. Similar to how women receive specialized gynecologic care, we believe men deserve care from male reproductive specialists. Our goal is to facilitate the birth of healthy children in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
Posterity Health offers male reproductive expertise through a blend of virtual visits, at-home diagnostics, and in-person consultations. We collaborate with fertility centers, OB/GYNs, and primary care providers to unify expert care. We are looking for passionate professionals to join us in achieving this vital mission.
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant with 1-2 years of experience to join our dynamic team. This role requires clinical expertise and the ability to navigate the challenges and ambiguities often present in a startup environment. You will play a crucial part in guiding patients through their reproductive health journey, primarily in an office-based telehealth setting with minimal physical patient interaction.
Responsibilities:
-Provide exceptional care to patients, ensuring their needs are met with empathy and efficiency.
-Facilitate smooth interactions with Posterity Health through high-touch scheduling and care coordination.
-Greet patients at the clinic and ensure they feel welcome and supported.
-Communicate and educate patients on their lab results, presenting the Posterity Health three-step reproductive workup.
-Assist patients in starting their reproductive workup, including scheduling appointments and handling payment collection.
-Prepare patient charts for upcoming encounters, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
-Support physicians and advanced practice teams in scheduling patients and keeping them on track with their treatment plans and objectives.
-Maintain comprehensive knowledge of patient referral status and document all interactions in the EMR.
-Ensure health information is managed in compliance with practice and federal regulations.
-Track member information, schedules, files, and forms confidentially.
-Initiate outreach and follow-up procedures for missed appointments as necessary.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
-1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
-Appropriate MA certification.
-Certified Case Manager certification is a plus.
-Previous care coordinator experience is a plus.
-Strong computer skills, including proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Excel.
-Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
-Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
-Superior clinical assessment and analytical abilities.
-Effective time management skills.
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
-Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
-A willingness to expand your technical skill set and adapt to new challenges.
Join Posterity Health and be part of a pioneering team dedicated to transforming male reproductive care. Apply today to help us make a meaningful difference in the lives of countless families.
