Family Practice Certified Medical Assistant
Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is a leading healthcare provider that offers a dynamic work environment and opportunities for growth. We are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in Verona, NJ.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with front office and back office duties
- Greet patients, update demographics, verify insurance, and collect payments
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and communicate with insurance carriers
- Assist physicians with patient treatment and minor surgeries
- Communicate with patients regarding medical information, test results, and medication reminders
- Notify patients of changes in medications and appointments, and notify physicians of emergent situations
- Perform routine medical testing, prepare lab request forms, and maintain patient files and records
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certified Medical Assistant certification through AMT, NHA, NCCT, or AAMA
- BLS
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous medical assistant experience or background
- Bilingual
