Aerospace Quality Research and Development - 145

Title: Quality RTS Inspector

Status: Hourly

Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Must have at least 3 years of experience in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station, or similar experience at a Part 121, 125, or 135 Operator
  • A&P license is preferred; however, all candidates must be able to obtain Part 65 certification within 90 days of employment
  • Must be familiar with 14 CFRs Parts 145, 43 & 91 Subpart(E) and EASA requirements
  • Able to perform accurate analysis of damage to sheet metal, composite, and bonded parts to determine scope of work required, materials required, and skill set required to accomplish proper repair
  • Must be computer literate and familiar with MS-Word and MS-Excel. Experience with ERP systems a plus
  • Able to perform all requirements of AS9102 First Article Inspections
  • Must be familiar with all inspection tools used at the Repair Station
  • Must be able to manage inventory, including issuing materials

Primary Duties:

  • Receiving inspection of materials and repairable articles
  • Issuing tools and materials to repair station personnel
  • Materials inventory and materials acquisition activities
  • In-process inspection and Return to Service Inspections of the work accomplished in accordance with approved or acceptable data
  • Completing and ensuring compliance to FAA/EASA regulations and guidance
  • Shipping and receiving of articles
  • Interpret technical manuals, figures, and drawings
  • Comply with quality assurance, accuracy of documentation and auditing of maintenance activity
  • Ensure the proper tagging of aircraft components and parts are appropriately stored
  • Assists with physical stockroom cycle counts
  • Assists with proper packaging and documentation of all outbound shipments
  • Complete work order administrative paperwork
  • Oversee all logistics aspects associated with AQRD-145 movement of parts and supplies
  • Report any incident immediately to Quality & Safety in accordance with Company policies and procedures
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned by manager or lead
  • Complete and Issue return to service documentation in accordance with FAA Order 8130.21(as revised) or 14CFR§43.9 or .11 as required

Abilities Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner with both internal and external contacts
  • Flexibility to work changing shifts including on-call/AOG coverage to include nights and
    weekends; on as needed or short notice basis, required.
  • Must have a passion for the aerospace industry
  • Must adhere to all safety standards established by the company and regulatory agencies
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification
  • Ability to use a gram scale accurately
  • Must be self motivated
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks independently
  • Accurate data entry is required
