Position: Superintendant - Multifamily & Commercial

Location: Dallas

Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent with a proven track record in multifamily and commercial construction. The ideal candidate will manage daily operations on-site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and up to the quality standards set by our company. Must have in-depth construction knowledge and best practices to meet with clients to walk properties and write a detailed scope of work. You will work with PM/Estimators to help facilitate bids and site walks.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervision and Oversight:
    • Manage daily on-site operations, ensuring work progress is on schedule and within budget.
    • Supervise subcontractors, craftsmen, and laborers, ensuring they adhere to plans and specifications.
    • Oversee all field personnel, manage subcontractor relationships, and maintain a harmonious working environment.
    • Ensuring Materials are ordered and delivered on time.
  2. Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure that work quality meets or exceeds company standards and contractual requirements.
    • Conduct regular site inspections, ensuring that workmanship and materials comply with specifications.
  3. Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure the job site adheres to company and OSHA safety standards.
    • Monitor construction for compliance with local codes and regulations.
    • Coordinate with local authorities, utilities, and inspectors.
  4. Project Coordination:
    • Collaborate with project management to set project schedules and milestones.
    • Address any issues, delays, or changes in the project scope promptly.
    • Attend regular project meetings and provide status updates.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain detailed daily logs of construction activities, including any deviations from original plans.
    • Review and approve subcontractor requests for payment.
    • Communicate regularly with the project manager regarding progress, issues, and solutions.
  6. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Train and mentor construction personnel, fostering a positive team environment.
    • Manage personnel issues on-site, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years experience as a superintendent or similar role, with specific experience in multifamily and commercial construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, tools, materials, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and blueprints.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • A valid drivers license.
