CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Researches and compares incentive compensation plans offered by demographically comparable organizations; assesses competitors plans and makes recommendations for enhancements or improvements required to keep the organizations plans competitive and effective
    • Collects and compiles HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS) and payroll outputs, management and employee surveys, employment records, government labor statistics, industry practices, and other sources.
    • Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in compensation and benefits administration.
    • Based on metrics and analysis, makes recommendations for policies and activities to improve the organizational culture including suggestions to attract and hire qualified candidates, to motivate and retain employees, to address staffing issues, and to maintain legal compliance.
    • Analyzes data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
    • Based on metrics and analysis, makes recommendations for policies and activities to improve existing metrics including changes to benefits, leave, and compensation offerings.
    • Assist the company in transitioning to disclosing pay rates in our employment ads.
    • Assist with performance, benefit, and compensation review and evaluation processes.
    • Conduct or assist with conducting classification audits to ensure that jobs are properly classified as exempt or nonexempt.
    • Maintains knowledge of economic conditions, labor market, and other factors related to ensuring the organization provides competitive and reasonable benefits and compensation scales and structures.
    • Handles the FMLA leave administration process from the employee's initial notice of the need for leave to the return to work. This includes gathering and completing all required paperwork, determining leave eligibility, designating leave as FMLA-qualifying, requesting medical certification as needed, and accounting for intermittent and reduced schedule leave use.
    • Facilitates implementation of new leave programs, benefits plans, and other related initiatives.
    • Performs hours lookback audit for ACA compliance.
    • Administers employee insurance programs including life, disability, health insurance plans as well as paid time off policies.
    • Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
    • Advises and informs employees of changes and developments related to benefits including eligibility, coverage, and provisions.
    • Be the HRIS “superuser” and assist with implementation of new modules.
    • Completes records, reporting, and other documentation required by federal, state, and provider rules, regulations, and policies.
    • Assist with all HR functions as necessary including staffing, recruiting, and onboarding.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or related field required.
  • At least three years of experience in related areas such as job classification and compensation, recruitment, selection, training, employee benefits, and/or equal opportunity compliance required.
  • Experience with ADP WorkforceNow or similar system required. Especially report writing/analytics.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
