Summary:

We are looking for an excellent Human Resources Coordinator to become part of our team at Sara Lee Frozen Bakery. The HR Coordinator is responsible for HR support within a 150-employee manufacturing facility that includes employee relations through the administration of the benefit program(s), recruitment, and organizational learning and development activities. Cyrus O’Leary’s Bakery is a non-union pie facility, a division of Sara Lee Frozen Bakery. This site has 6 production lines across 4 departments that include single serve pies, fruit pies, cream pies, and packaging.


Key Accountabilities:

· Provide guidance to all employees on an on-going basis with respect to discipline, attendance, policies and procedures.

· Manages requisition process for assigned business lines and manages entire recruitment process for hourly non-exempt employees

· Partners with contracted Temporary Agencies for employee onboarding

· Develops job descriptions, posting positions, and working closely with hiring managers to facilitate candidate screening, interviewing and calibration processes

· Ensures timely enrollment in benefit programs and completion of new hire paperwork

· Administers FMLA, headcount, exit process, and coordinates/reports employee status transactions

· Maintains and updates employee records in ADP

· Assists employee focused events and functions while keeping a pulse on culture and employee satisfaction

· Provides timely customer service to employees as a member of the HR team

· Assists and supports all HR activities/duties as needed


Requirements:

All job offers are based on the conditions that the candidate can provide proof of authorization to work legally in the United States and pass a background check and urinalysis screening, which is part of the post-offer health assessment. Candidate must be at least 18 years of age.

· Knowledge of basic employment law practices to include state and federal compliance law

· Knowledge of payroll administration and practices

· Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

· Ability to always maintain a high level of confidentiality

· Ability to clearly articulate policy and practices to employees at all levels of the organization

· Ability to perform in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

· Excellent time management and organizations skill

· Able to manage complex and time sensitive projects to the satisfaction of different groups

· Ability to build and maintain effective relationships to ensure excellent customer service

· High initiative in problem solving

· Must be capable of working independently, setting priorities and remaining flexible

· Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines

· This position must be able to work within software systems including ADP, NOVAtime and Alchemy.


Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or GED

· 2 + Years’ experience in Human Resources


Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field

· SHRM/PHR Certification

· Multi-lingual (Marshallese)

· Experience in food manufacturing


Compensation:

• This position pays $29.81 - $32.21 per hour, depending on experience.
